A reputable Financial Institution is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of a Management Accountant
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management Accounting Functions
• Collating branch budgets and the various strategies intended to achieve targets set.
• Preparation of Institutional Year on Year Budget and Budget Reviews.
• Oversee the preparation of the Strategic Plan.
• Ensure that Grant and Lenders Plans marry with Strategic Plan.
• Lenders and Grant Reporting – MasterCard, DFID etc liaising with Donor.
• Prepares and analyze Revise Annual Forecast (RAF / write -up) and Revision to Financial Performance projections by 11th of the following month.
• Industry Analysis Report prior to Strategy discussions in July every year.
• Prepares CEO monthly Financial and Operational report 2 working days after Completion of financials for review.
• Monthly CFO Call Report 17th of the following month for review.
• Develop and Maintain Financial Reporting Templates. (Monthly)
• Projects and Process analysis following 5 clear business days prior to submission.
• Upstream Uploads by the 7th of the following month.

Solutions
1. Conduct monthly financial reviews of both Revenue and Expense lines to come out with Key business issues for Managements to make informed decision.
2. Budgetary Controls
(i) Products: Product analysis and review to bring out product performance on regular basis
(ii) Assets & Expenses : Bring to management attention budget lines both (Assets and Expenses) that have to be controlled to guard the business from budget overruns.
3. Reporting
(i) Monthly preparation and circulation of Product Profitability reports
(ii) Quarterly preparation of CEO Board report.
4. Training
(I) Provide appropriate budgetary and financial management training for new managers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENT
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or business related subjects from a reputable university or college
• Professional Accounting Certification e.g. Certified Public Accountant
Management Accounting Experience and Training
• Experience and training in management accounting, lending/credit management, profitability and cost management gained from a financial, banking and/or micro lending background
• Advanced knowledge and experience in budget control policies, systems and procedures and setting annual budget projections
Banking Compliance Regulations and Legal Legislation
• Advance knowledge of related statutory and regulatory banking compliance regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws
• Knowledge of General Banking or Financial Services Act, banking and business laws, local legal legislation, local employment and labor laws
