The children’s ministry of a local church is looking for a volunteer relations officer to coordinate the volunteer team of the ministry, maintain volunteer records, and carry out other processes related to volunteers within the ministry.
Person Specifications
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills
• Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
• Must have record-keeping skills
• Must be diligent in following laid-down procedure
• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
• Must have excellent command of the English language
Job Specifications
• Generate monthly reports
• Follow-up on absent member
• Send messages at specified times
• Maintain group chats and mailing lists
• Process ID cards
• Register volunteers for trainings, retreats and additional service events
• Send out ministry information
• Process volunteer application forms
• Schedule orientation meetings for new volunteers
• Take volunteer attendance on the weekends
• Perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Management or related field
• Must have at least 2 years experience in a related field
• Must be familiar with MS Office Suite
• Experience working in a church setting is preferable
